1. Posture. To help keep your body pain-free, practicing good posture is important especially if you’re sitting at your desk for eight hours a day. Having poor posture can give you future neck, shoulder, and back pain along with spine alignment issues.
2. Keep Active. It’s so important to keep active when you’re forced to be sedentary for most of the day. Being sedentary ages your body much faster and you’ll feel lazier, unmotivated, and more lethargic if you don’t exercise regularly.
3. Make Friends. A must, if you want to stay sane at work, is to make friends at your office. Having a few buddies at the office seriously helps make the day go by so much faster and it makes going to work every day a lot more fun too.
4. Take Your Breaks. It’s important to recharge for your mental well-being especially if you’re stuck in your cubicle all day long. Taking your breaks can be a huge refresher while you’re at the office so slot in time to have a proper lunch break and smaller breaks throughout the day.
5. Eat Healthily. Another important thing to do at work is to eat healthily and stay hydrated. This is especially true because you’re sitting at a desk day in and day out since there’s not a lot of physical activity involved.

6. Take mini breaks. Just because you work at a desk job doesn’t mean you are glued to your desk all day. Get up at least once an hour to walk around. Go to the bathroom.
7. Take advantage of lunch breaks. It’s tempting to sit and relax on your lunch break. But, by lunch, your body can benefit from a short walk. You don’t even need to go far for it to be effective.
8. Stretch or move at your desk. You need a quick break more often than every hour. Take 30 seconds to stretch. Touch your toes, do some quick jumping jacks, or even sit ups.
9. Encourage walking meetings. Meetings are the status quo of most office environments. Instead of buckling down for a long meeting, try suggesting that your group takes a walking meeting.
10. Alternate between sitting and standing. Some office environments encourage standing at your desk with special desks that allow you to either sit or stand.
11. Focus On Proper Sight Lines. Maintaining proper sight lines means keeping your eyes at screen level so that your neck does not have to contort.
12. Know The Ergonomics Of Hand And Wrist Placement. Staying ergonomically pure with your hands and wrists prevents serious joint and ligament injuries.
13. Maintain Proper Posture. Proper posture is probably the most important tactic in staying healthy with a desk job. Good posture is essential to overall health in general.
14. Look Away. It sounds simple but looking away from the screen periodically will benefit your eye sight. Constant monitor viewing strains our eyes.
15. Get Up And Walk Around. Research demonstrates the benefits of leaving your desk at periodic intervals to stretch and walk around. Grab some coffee, visit the bathroom, check in with your boss, or just take a five-minute walk.

16. Start small with simple 20-minute bodyweight workouts that 1) require no equipment and 2) are easy to do anywhere you have the room.
17. Build core strength with a portable balance board. It's covered in an anti-slip layer to prevent any embarrassing falls in the middle of a work call (something I would totally do), and it's covered in textured pressure points to massage your tired feet while you stand.
18. Activate your abs, legs, and back muscles on a sitting ball. Guess who already got their workout in before work officially ended! (Spoiler alert: It's you!)
19. Hop on your under-desk bike so you can spin while building spreadsheets, answering emails, and even taking conference calls. It offers different resistance levels and is a great way to get in a workout during your regular 9-to-5.
20. Multitask with a height-adjustable desk bike. Now you can write reports and set PRs at the same time. It comes with a removable desktop tray and doubles as a standing desk if you need to stretch your legs.
